You're think' my way now, Rande. Contrarian but right.
WCOM is being priced like a pressured LD company only but is also the biggest (?) internet backbone company in the world right. Incredible value therein.

Same with NOVL, LU two others I can name who will/might spin off their more glamorous divisions which have never had an identity of their own. Similar stand-alone companies get PE's in the 100's while inside NOVL and LU their value is largely ignored. This should give these two stocks a nice boost. I know it worked for COMS/PALM (after a few days anyway). And my other favorite VZ selling at an 11 PE and 2x revenues when VOD is selling for almost 100x that valuation. And they're in the same exact business just on different continents. Or LOR being priced at less than the value of their satellite division alone.

Hell LU could spin off ten companies, couldn't it?
Or IBM?

So we have found the value out there, now it's just a matter of getting the street to recognize it. They will eventually. They always do. But sometimes you have to be a little patient.

Expect more of these spin-offs by undervalued large tech companies. These could take the place of IPO's in the coming year and the newest biggest things to hit the market.

PS - Fortune magazine analyst recommends WCOM as a great buy. I haven't seen the article but heard about it from a poster. About someone dared to speak out. But maybe he rec'ed it last week. Whatever he's damn right. WCOM was a great buy at 36. Now it's a super buy.

Expect these hard-hit companies to fight back. And they have a lot of ammo they haven't used yet.
