Zero Growth Company

Stefan,

You seem knowledgeable of the operations of this company. I can get little information in that regard. Accordingly, please feel free to refute/support my observations with information that I currently lack.

This company boasted 100% growth in its last earnings report. Unfortunately, the financial statements revealed that QGENF's jump from $1 million to $2 million in income was derived entirely from collection of a RESEARCH GRANT and interest on the money collected from the IPO. In other words, there was no growth from operations!

Furthermore, insiders have been filing Form 144's to sell this stock on a regular basis since late March 1997.( I don't know what the lockout period is, but the IPO happened to occur last June.)

So why does the price keep going up? I would love to sell a lot (more) of this stock short. Is there any reason not to?
