Spy,

How about that? A picture of Neuschwanstein for your location?

Do you remember what happened to the young resident - King Ludwig II - who had the castle built and lived in that castle?

Although the castle was primarily lighted with 'candlesticks' and the view of the 'evening stars' (nothing like a good Abendstern, right?) - the young King met his fate in a body of water below the castle along with another young man. Speculation remains whether the two young men drowned or were overtaken by detractors. Either way, I'm not sure the castle would be the best omen for one's location. <ggg>

Of course, there is that Tinkerbell/Disney thing.....

In spite of that, we love to visit the castle and the surrounding area. Outside of the road apples left by the horse drawn carriages going up and down the path up to the castle, we enjoy the hike up. We went to Dürnstein in Austria yesterday which overlooks the Danube. That's the one where Richard the Lionhearted was kept in captivity.

Are you German? Just curious as we live in Vienna...
