I don't agree with that, unless by public you mean the analysts. Since only two companies cover alsc that isn't going to help much. No company representative that I have ever spoken has been particularly forthright unless it was a microcap.
My guess is that some of the reaction might be to wisconsin reducing its stake by half as well the general destruction that has taken place in the chip area. I think too many traders perceive alsc to be a third tier micron which it is not. But thats ok, one gets paid here to have more patience than mr market does. UMC only sells at 15 times earnings and i believe the investment in tower will turn out very well too. certainly within 2 quarters it will be hard for the stock market to ignore the good things that are happening at ALSC.
