Number of market makers and who they are. What volume they traded with their customers including the online brokerages. Who is the leading market maker who set the price for that month.
This information is the basis for the price trend, on the technical analysis trend lines you draw on the 1 year chart. Changes in leadership, changes the way you draw the trend lines. Such as two parallel lines or two point connects, from month to month, if leadership changes.
CVTK had no market maker reports in the month of Aug, 2000 to today. But in the month of July, because of the CVTKE status, due to noncompliant of report to SEC; trading activity ceased. Looking back in both Dec, 1999 and April, 2000; trading activity increased over other months. Stockpoint's quick chart shows mostly buy orders can not be accurate? Because those month were tax selling related.
Stock price is stable even though company has deficit. This may be due to one stockholder owning 30% of this company. The facts are contradictory if you do analysis, but until more reports are available, the facts have to remain contradictory.
On the other hand, this stock took off after I started this thread. Some market maker may have confidence that this company can be easily turned around. We have to see what their efforts are or will be?
