". . . I would place more potential on symantec's move to the enterprise rather than safeguarding mobile devices . . ."

I'm not sure these are mutually exclusive. An issue some of us wonder (worry?) about is how to use PDAs remotely to access business LANs and intranets through hefty firewalls while the PDAs can swap all that access info just like those train lovers in the PALM advert swap phone numbers. Is really easy to download info to them and carry it out, too. PCs leave lots of tracks, and I guess one feature of any security software is that there'd be a means of tracking PDA access as well. The more paranoid/security-conscious (pick one) among us do think about this. [A personal note: Some of us are paid to do so, notwithstanding it occasionally wars with our private feelings, so please, no flames from "free netters" as you may be burning one of your own. 8-)]

Somebody also mentioned overpaying for Axent. I dunno. I kind of liked the AXNT filings with the SEC. Read from back to front, it didn't appear to me that they overpromised qtr-to-qtr. But that's just me. Maybe one of you number persons can verify the continuity of their numbers.

Regards,
Harry
