Yea, the welding O2 is usually just fine but may not have been tested to the same degree. Usually the air companies are filling both out of the same bulk container.

If you really wanted to carry this concept out a bit, hyperbaric chambers would be the next step to get the partial pressure of O2 above 100%. The medical guys are finding real healing benefits from this. One slight problem though. Oxygen is toxic if you are exposed very long to partial pressures much above 1.6. -g-
