Paul, how was your vacation? Back with renewed vigor I see.

The San Jose Mercury News is full of articles on Windows ME today. Looks like ME and the P4 have a lot in common re new priorities:

For the first time, the software giant has created a new computer operating system -- the product on which its fortunes have rested for 25 years -- exclusively for consumers, marketing the PC not as a business tool but as a conduit for home entertainment.

The new focus reflects a shift in the way consumers are using computers, he said. ``The PC can be a game console, a home theater, a jukebox. It's a pretty drastically different experience.''

The review on ME have been controversial, as have been recent MSFT releases. But they always become the standard. May be some common method to the madness of the ME and the P4.
