Paul,

I'll give it to you, for 1% of revenues <g>.
Seriously, I'm sure there are a number of companies working on this. Talk of the "post-PC era" drives me crazy. The PC is becoming more centric to our lives all the time. In addition to the entertainment stuff, all phone calls will probably be over the Internet in a few years, most will eventually have video. The "experts" say we will have a bunch of applinaces for each of these functions, I suspect we will have a server enabling all the separate functions.
My PC is used for communication, entertainment, investing, banking, shopping, research, even ordering pizzas. That's in addition to the "traditional" functions like word processing and spreadsheets. How many appliances do I need to replace all those functions? And it seems like new functions are coming along everyday, stuff that I never thought of. SETI uses my microprocessor to analyze data when I'm not on the PC.
"Any such thoughts?"
I think it's for others to do, the folks that can manipulate the technology. It would be fun to be involved.
