In fairness, we should recognize that insiders may well need to diversify their assets by selling shares of their company, even if they are quite confident of the company's prospects, and we must assume that they would not sell if in possession of undisclosed bad news -- that would be wrong. All the same, I prefer to buy when insiders are buying and sell short when they are selling, and I am short AOL.
