Sarmad: "That is why your doom and gloom scenario is so unlikely."

I would wager that not one in one hundred tech investors see any connection between energy prices and their tech-stock portfolios -- that, Sarmad, is my point. If the same proportion did not understand the role of interest rates, and if interest rates were at the beginning of a tightening cycle, then I would post on that -- not because it is "doom and gloom", but because you need to see tech investing in the context of the economy as a whole. Energy prices are as important as interest rates -- more important under some circumstances. Good luck.
