Yes, 34 quarters of consecutive revenue growth - 8 1/2 years through Q2 1998. Then the warning and plunge. But earlier this year they stated they were exiting their switching business, and took an inventory charge in Q4. Switching was 78% of revenue in 1999, and you can't shut that down like a light switch. Some people thought the inventory charge was the end of it, but they are actually bleeding it down over several quarters and replacing it with other revenue sources. The acquisitions for LUMN were not all closed in Q2, so revenue was really in flux last quarter. But this is not the same company it was two years ago.

This gives the shorts a nice big handle to hold - the ol' "they missed by a penny" whammy. Last week it was ostensibly the Zaffire CEO firing. Like I said, if you want to take MRVC down, any old reason will do. Good news will take us up again soon (after they play with us again on options week). Then they will find another excuse down the road.
