Henderson Cyber doesn't expect it will turn a profit until 2003, the South China Morning Post reports, quoting the chief executive of the set-top box and data center joint venture between Henderson Investment Ltd. (H.HIN) and Hong Kong & China Gas Co. (H.HKC).

Singapore Telecommunications (P.SGT) is in talks with several Hong Kong telecom companies about merger and acquisition opportunities, the Hong Kong Economic Times reports, quoting a top official of the company.

Fidelity Investments has won Mandatory Provident Fund management contracts from several major Hong Kong corporations, the South China Morning Post reports. New clients include Swire Pacific (H.SWP), Cathay Pacific Airways (H.CPA), Pacific Century CyberWorks (H.PCW) and SmarTone Telecommunications (H.SMR).

Electronic commerce in Asia-Pacific will grow to between A$250 billion and A$300 billion in 2003, up from just A$8 billion last year, the South China Morning Post reports, quoting a soon-to-be-released report by Deloitte.
