Gidday Lim, Telecom NZ is installing CDMA, but the guy who installed our ADSL said that they were not too happy with it or something - maybe they were putting in IS-95 and are thinking they should hang on and go for 1x or something. Official word is July 2001 for commercial CDMA in NZ [at last].

Vodafone will install GPRS [hahaahaah!!] on their GSM network.

I heard today that CDMA stands for "Can't dial me anywhere" in Australia. That quote from a Vodafone retail outlet in Darwin who purports to sell Globalstar phones.
