Did you go?

Dickey was good. Unquestionably fit to play for the Allmans.
He came out to a standing ovation and obviously genuinely
appreciated it. The highlight of the show was Southbound.
The guy who warmed up, Larry McRae, did some wild jamming
with Dickey. There were a few things that bugged me though.
He didn't mention Allen Woody, he blamed not doing Jessica
on having to stop by 10, he did play a full 2 hours but
there was a 15 minute drum solo near the end of the show,
less drums and Jessica wudda been much better. Also
the interplay between the guitars on Southbound was so cool
but the rest of the night there were too many solos and
not enough interplay. The saxophone sounded cool, it added
a cool dimension and new sound on some of the Allman tunes.
At the end of the show Dickey was very sincere saying he's
emnjoyed the people in this area for a long time and thanked
everyone for coming out in his time of need.
