I spent the weekend with some friends who have a 1 1/2-year-old. Most people teach their kids that age what the elbow, nose, foot, and a button are, as in "Where's your nose?" Nah, my friends say to their daughter, "Where's your uvula?"

Before all of you instantly profess to me that you're intimately familiar with all parts of the anatomy, I want you to know that I can already hear the clkicking of your keyboards as you rush to your online dictionary to figure out what the heck a uvula is.
