09/11 11:09A S Africa Anglo Platinum In 395,000 Oz Mine Expansion
JOHANNESBURG (Dow Jones)--South Africa's Anglo American Platinum Corp.
(AAPTY), or Amplats, the world's biggest platinum producer, Tuesday said it is
to increase production by 395,000 troy ounces a year at its Rustenburg
section.
The move comes after Amplats said at its interim results presentation in
August that it would lift annual production from 2 million ounces to 3.5
million ounces by 2006.
