Re the rig - Here are the facts, straight from Mike Smith, head of Morinoak, the refurbishers.

We do not intend to get caught up in the general corrspondense regarding this matter but since there is much speculation about the involvement of our company in this project, here are a few facts for all concerned;

MIL entered into an agreement with the rig owners to upgrade the rig on behalf of Ness Energy in October 99.

Work was brought to a halt in December. MIL have not been paid for the upgrade carried out on behalf of Ness Energy, via the owners of the rig. We have since entered into an agreement with the owners of the rig whereas we continue to upgrade the rig at our own cost and sell it on behalf of both the Rig Owners and MIL.

The upgrade refurbishment is about 50% complete.

MIL has no contract with Ness Energy or any other associated party to purchase or upgrade this rig.

Ness Energy has not entered into any correspondence with MIL at any time during this calender year.

We are informed by the rig owners that they have no contract in-place with Ness Energy, (Any such contract would have been in breach of our contract with the rig owners for the upgrading and sale of the rig).

We have had many e-mails recently from investors in Ness Energy asking about the rig status etc. We regret that these are now too numerous to respond to. However if anything develops that changes any of the above mentioned facts we will advise.
