Good reading.

I'd think that Replay/Tivo have max transfer rates well below the drives abilities, unless talking about HDTV. So the maxtor win surprise me. Perhaps they did an at cost deal for the brand recognition benefits. Or maybe they have idle capacity with low marginal costs.

In any case, I'd expect the mxtr win to be reflected in a lower share price for HDD- yet the stock seems to be holding up ok.
