Nothing wrong with being a Conservative country. President should be looking out country as a whole first, followed by interest of his party, followed by sub section within his party ... so forth. Dubya cannot stand his ground if there is an onslaught from a particular group on an issue not compatible with many citizens of the country (that could be just 25% of population, but could have profound implications). He is not shown political maturity, astuteness, will and intellect to do so.
As I mentioned before, John McCain is more conservative than Dubya, but could be trusted in this regard. Looking back same thing could be said about Reagan and Bush Sr. But people should not be voting someone to learn on the job. Individual should have a rock solid life experiences to shape up to be a president. Dubya has just a few years -- that too questionable.
Anyone from Florida/Michigan/PA/NJ/Indiana/IL see my point of view. If you don't like Gore, I recommend you to vote for Buchanan/Nader. That's what third candidates are there for. <ggg>
