John - RE: "Is that DDR information true!?"

I don't know how that person came to that conclusion, but I emailed Crucial (Micron's RAM-selling website) and asked -

"Do you plan to start selling 128MB PC2100 DDR SDRAM (non-ECC) by the time DDR chipsets/motherboards hit the market?"

Here's the reply -

"YES. Everything is currently pre-production engineering samples presently.

Thanks for your interest in Crucial's new DDR SDRAM modules.

Due to quantity limitations, we are only able to provide DDR
SDRAM to qualified hardware developers whose systems accept
this new technology. At this time, we are unable to give you
access to Crucial's DDR SDRAM purchasing page.

As more DDR SDRAM modules and compatible hardware become
available, we will be adding DDR SDRAM to our regular online
purchasing process. Please check our site at
crucial.com often to keep up on the latest
developments with this exciting technology.

If you are a hardware developer and feel you have received
this message in error, please contact our DDR sales team at
888-363-2566 (US and Canada only) or 208-363-5790."

Maybe Jim Kelly should find better "articles" on the yahoo thread before he gets over excited!
