Not too much in the way of "hot zones" on the near horizon, either, but you never know. The military are having fun developing high-tech devices, for example the JEDI vest that they are working on with Globalstar, which allows an infantryman to call in an airstrike using a satphone and GPS. All these nifty new gadgets now that computers and satellites and cellphones are getting ubiquitous.

A few years ago I had a client who supplied computers to the CIA and military and so forth, they had to be specially soundproofed to prevent surveillance and interception of data by analyzing sound waves - by the time they went through the procurement process and then the retrofitting, the stuff was always out-of-date. But I think they may have streamlined procurement since then, at least I hope so.
