Yes, I believe that, too (without any major OEMs selling Durons and K6-2s phasing out this isn't very surprising). But stating that Compaq isn't selling any AMD systems any more when 50% of their retail systems are from AMD is IMO a little bit far fetched. Probably they are selling more Intel systems because (as stated above) K6-2 are phased out and low budget systems (--> Celerons) are usually the best selling systems but that doesn't mean AMD is losing Compaq.

Now, their "new" notebook section is 6/7 ths Intel.

This is IMO also not surprising. AMD can only deliver notebook CPUs up to 550 MHz (K6-2+). And that's exactly the system Compaq is selling right now in the business line. Things will get interesting again when mobile Athlons/Durons are coming in late Q4.
