I HOPE EVERYONE IS 'LEAN' IN THIS BRUTAL MARKET... Just when you thought it was safe to go long again... I have been in this business for about 7 1/2 years now, and I have never seen such a harsh market. Shorts get squeezed out and the market looks poised to run...BOOM! Longs get pummelled and it is nearly impossible to make a living. To top off all of that the intraday volatility has gone through the roof... No direction, no real leadership... All I can say is that these times are simply a matter of survival, IMHO. The key in this market is surviving, preserving capital and waiting for a less choppy market with better 'trending' opportunities. That is not to say that you cannot make money in this market. Rather, the problem is finding good risk-reward opportunities and capitalizing on them. Hang in there folks... IMHO, the market is STILL range bound WITHOUT confirmation of an uptrend OR a downtrend. Anyone have any other encouraging words to add here? Wishing you all profits and patience, -- Gene
