now, a realistic target for a devastating wipe-out would probably be the '87 high....2,700 or so.

that would be about 75% down..not the end of the world, just ten bubble years reversed.

while i'm not really counting on that happening, i think it would be POSSIBLE....after all, it would be reasonable to expect the big bubble to unwind in a rather chaotic fashion. unless the bubble expands even further first...which is also a reasonable expectation considering the printing presses are doing overtime...

let's concentrate on that 20K target rather...
