Sonki,
First, I want to apologize for not getting you my long term holdings. I had a note ready, lost my connection, and had to go before I could get it back. I'm not really sure I have any long term holdings besides Microsoft. I generally buy companies I really like and leave them when I've got a nice profit. If it takes years to have a nice profit, I may or may not wait.

There are real security holes in Unix as well as NT. There are even security holes in Java. Microsoft and every other software vendor is working to make systems more secure, but this process will be evolutionary. As old holes are plugged, new ones will likely be found. That's the nature of computer security. Recently, Microsoft has been a target for many talented hackers. It doesn't mean that Unix has no security holes. In a way, being a target is good in that it helps to shake out problems more quickly than with systems that are assumed safe.

I'd rather have problems made public and fixed than keep them hidden and exploited only by a few, motivated individuals.

Take care, and thanks for the survey,
Mike
