Add: That's about right, although I haven't crunched any numbers as yet to see where the true benefit lies. About your SBC and content idea.....hmmmmm.....that bears watching, this is true. But I have yet to see any of the baby Bells....hell....the other CLEC's for that matter....do content on the internet well. They are typical infrastructure boys/girls. They're good at building it, lousy at using it (as funny as that might sound) excepting where it applies to certain voice applications like v-mail, enhanced call routing and delivery services, etc.
But this isn't to say they won't try to go this way. It's a natural "evolutionary" course to my way of thinking. So we'll just have to see.
The attraction from COVD's standpoint is obvious. You get a wealthy, and powerful, Uncle in your corner. And COVD can now offer Uncles products. That is, COVD can bundle their internet connectivity with their new Uncles various voice offerings. Indeed, Uncle may use his clout to get COVD additional hardware, tech forces support, etc.
Like I said....over the intermediate term this looks like a win win all 'round for SBC, WSTL, and COVD. I'd kind'a discounted COVD here of late. It looks like I'm now going to have to reevaluate it.
Now let's see what the market thinks...
