Dr. Wei Zhang Joins COM DEV Wireless as General Manager of Suzhou China Facility
Renowned Space and Communications Expert Joins Company
RICHARDSON, TX, Sept. 12 /CNW/ - COM DEV Wireless, a division of COM DEV
International Ltd. (TSE: CDV), has named Dr. Wei Zhang to oversee all of its
China wireless operations including the company's new, state-of-the-art
manufacturing facility in Suzhou, China. As General Manager, Dr. Zhang will
continue streamlining operations and enhancing facility productivity. COM DEV
Wireless designs and manufactures leading-edge wireless systems and subsystems
for companies such as Huawei-Telecommunications, Zhong Xing Telecom, Nortel,
Lucent, Nokia, Siemens and British Telecom.

talented executives with profit and loss responsibility in strategic locations

established relationships with many of our existing and potential customers.
In addition, his experience with the Xi'an Institute means he has a broad
understanding of the Chinese business environment. Dr. Zhang has tremendous
technical prowess and a proven track record of strong financial success."
A Chinese national, Dr. Zhang was formerly the Director of the Xi'an
Institute of Space Radio Technology and a member of the Chinese Academy of
Space Technology. Dr. Zhang completed a Post Doctoral Research Fellowship in
the Communications Research Lab at McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada. In
addition, he has been involved with technology for Mobile Wireless, Satellite
Systems and Personal Communications Services as well as 1D and 2D Digital
signal processing. Dr. Zhang has also won numerous awards for his extensive
research in digital satellite communications.
