Keith we have heard the AWE rumor too, AT&T must do something to make the market believe it will be a player in the future, the market now values AT&T for what it is...the greatest portfolio of obsolete technology in the world...Armstrong who was hailed as a savior has done nothing but preside over AT&T's slow death...he has refused to spend any $$$ on cutting edge technology...and the market is penalizing him for that...what IT manager in their right mind would sign their company up with AWE? TDMA/GSM dropping calls like crazy in Europe (and customers are starting to get upset) and the US as more "data" flows over these voice optimized systems...the rumor is out there, as Armstrong is beginning to really take heat from larger holders for his technological intransigence...long distance will be "free" soon, the path of the future is value added "bundled" services like wireless...those with inferior technology won't make it in 3G..."How come my wireless web always crashes and yours doesn't? Oh, you are not on AWE I see."
