AMD is an interesting play. The TV ad is kinda stupid, BUT it works. Something about that tanker truck comin' at ya that sticks in yer memory. K6 sticks in my head too. Not sure why, maybe because of K9 (or mebbe the mountain-K2?) They seem to be doing a good job branding themselves as well as forging alliances. I've also read that "Intel inside&copy" doesn't have nearly the appeal overseas that it does in the States. Combine that with the fact that some of us malcontents would buy ANYTHING other than INTC (underdog syndrome<G>) and AMDs future could be bright.
