Success as a coach is determined by what your players do long after their sporting careers IMO. I do find it interesting that the media, while granting him credit for good graduation rates and successful post-sporting careers for most of his graduates, never seemed willing to link that result to his methods. Perhaps there is a link, especially to the application of discipline to athletes who often encounter only hero worship as they grow up. And then their skills decline, through aging or injury or competition, and what are they left with??? How many graduates of Knight's program ended up with police records??? There may be a few, but I'll bet not many.....
