Heinz, an SPR draw is guaranteeeeed. And I agree that in hindsight it will be viewed as a dumb decision - but that will have no bearing on the decision to release a big wad of SPR oil. This is purely a political decision having NOTHING to do with the best interests of the country. It's all about showing the soccer-moms how much Clinton/Gore "care". All they have to do is win the election, what happens in January is irrelevant. If they win and the situation gets worse they blame "big oil." If they lose and the situation gets worse, so what - it's someone else's problem then. Heads I win, tails you loose...
