INSP price to sales ratio... At the end of INSP's 4th quarter ( December 30th ) they will have a price to sales ratio of approximately 55. That is about 90 days away. So don't let that high price to sales ratio in the FOOL article "fool" anybody. ( disclaimer : huge premium to the historical price to sales ratios for the overall market ) other price to sales ratios: EMC 27 CSCO 24 AOL 21 JNPR 228 EBAY 56 INKT 79 VRSN 131 RNWK 45 I am not saying that these P/S are fair or other wise... just pointing out that INSP is not necessarily as richly valued as some may say... ( compared to their e-economy brothren ) By the end of December the merger will be finalized and the combined company will have trailing 12 month sales of approximately $175 Million. Analysts have projected 2001 sales of $360 before "synergies". Maybe more in the + $400 Million range. One thing to keep in mind is that INSP/GNET have not begun to recognize the revenue opportunities associated with wireless / broadband / etc. The Trillion Dollar question is what will the ramp up in these areas really look like???? It took NTT Docomo LESS THAN 18 months to get 10 Million customers for its wireless internet offering...The subscriber numbers at the end of the December quarter will be very interesting to see... by then INSP's domestic wireless net service will have a solid 3-6 months under its belt... Best to ALL!
