Then you don't understand what Laffer was saying because where we were on the curve was the ESSENSE of what he was arguing. He didn't invent that curve. It's economics 101. His argument was that we were on the part of the curve where increasing tax rates brings diminishing returns and decreasing them brings higher returns. He was PROVEN CORRECT by the facts. Reagan forced tax rate cuts throught Congress, tax revenues skyrocketed.

One of the things about Lafferism I find strange is that no one ever seemed to be interested in figuring out where we might be on the famous Laffer curve
