Speaking of consolidation, I wonder if Nutrinova considered acquisition? According to Nutrinova President and Chief Executive Officer Arthur Steinmetz, Ph.D., his company is seeking to broaden its product portfolio and enhance its visibility beyond sweeteners and preservatives into the healthy nutrition and fiber business segments. The distribution agreement is a start, but why not just snap it up? It would cost them practically nothing, with Opta at a 40% discount to book and sitting with $1 cash per share. Maybe they like to inspect the goods first, before putting them in the bag. WT
