It's funny how different people, observing the same events, can draw such differing conclusions:

<< Dave, I think it is the perception from court case. But in reality the only thing that has happened is lower ct (as stated by TPJ) reviewed, couldn't understand the issue and granted whatever plaintiffs asked for. Then stayed the whole verdict realizing that it was hasty and probably unsure. >>

This case seemed incredibly straightforward to me. TPJ had it easy and did the only sensible thing. Bill Gates's bumbling-clown deposition was a ludicrous self-caricature. While MSFT did not present a single credible witness in the case, the DOJ witnesses, apart from a gaff or two, presented a unified, solid case. It would surprise me greatly if the ruling is not withheld, or at the least, is not replaced with an equally forceful punishment.

<< As per business fundamentals, I think MSFT's core business is on a sharp rebound. Why else would Snr. VP of sales comeout and say 30% revenue growth will come soon. >>

Perhaps because he has a vested interest in seeing the stock price rally? That's just a wild guess.

<< Also when earnings are announced in October, the stock will move further north. >>

When earnings are announced, look beneath the well-engineered headline numbers. Watch for how much of their investment portfolio they had to cash in to meet the numbers. Watch for changes in how they account for software asset depreciation. That's what the big mutual fund managers are going to be looking at, at that's why they're going to dump what's left of their MSFT holdings in October.
