To Logan, NightOwl, and others who patiently respond to my questions regarding RMTR, I really appreciate it. Now, let me see if I am beginning to get the picture, and see if you can fill in a few more blanks.
1) RMTR owns the technology (FRAM), but doesn't have production capability, or end product ,ie, smartcards etc?
2) The various alliances (Rohm, Racom, Fujitsu, Hitachi) are potential resources for production and product/marketing?
If this is essentially the arrangement, let me ask some more questions.
1) How firm is RMTR's grip on the FRAM technology (from a legal/patent point of view)?
2) Although I gather that FRAM appears to be the dominant technology for these NV memory applications, what is the status of competitive/emerging technologies?
You know, common sense says that if a company looks like a fair buy at, say 8 5/8, (which is where I got in), it must be steal at 5 1/2. ( There's some logic guaranteed to lose you money! <GG>) I really am looking to add to my position, but am still trying to understand this company/market. I am certainly not adverse to risk, but I (usually) try to understand the risks.
Well, I have a busy day today, and will not be able to sit at my computer and monitor the unfolding Greenspan saga, and the Dell report. Hope the market is good to all of us today.
