RTS:

RIMM has a 6 page pull out in this week's Newsweek for their Blackberry units, which lists 7 "areas of superiority" over comparable products. #5 reads:

Advanced Security: Blackberry supports an industry-leading security standard called Triple DES (Data Encryption Standard) to meet corporate security requirements for remote email access. Since Triple DES is considered unbreakable, you can feel confident about sending and receiving confidential information wherever you go.

I haven't heard of "Triple DES", has anyone else? Who developed/owns/sells it? Also, does anyone know if CDMA makes the data encryption task easier than other wireless technologies such as TDMA, GSM, etc.?
