New Diamond Targets In Wawa, Ontario And Northern Quebec

Band-Ore Resources Ltd. reports on exploration activities
relating to its properties in northern Ontario and northern
Quebec.

Field programs conducted this summer by the Company's Qualified
Persons (QP's) have identified numerous new geological
environments that have the potential to host diamonds.

Wawa, Ontario - GQ Property

Since the beginning of the field season, over 25 new bedrock
occurrences of heterolithic breccia have been discovered on the
Company's 100% owned, 25 sq. km property located near Wawa,
Ontario. All of the new breccia zones are identical, both
compositionally and texturally, to the breccia units that host
the original diamond discovery. Some of these new zones outcrop
along the shorelines of lakes and in swamp areas. Initial
investigation revealed that, in some cases, these new zones are
in excess of 75 metres wide and are exposed over 100 meters along
strike and remain open in both directions. All of the recently
discovered zones require detailed follow up investigation,
including geological mapping, additional prospecting,
geotechnical studies and sampling for diamond. Caustic fusion
analysis for diamond recovery has been completed on outcrop
samples from only three areas on the property and all three areas
were found to contain diamonds.

From the main GQ diamond occurrence, 746 diamonds, including 15
macrodiamonds, have been recovered from sample material weighing
785 kilograms. The largest diamond recovered exceeds 1.0 mm in
size, and the majority of diamonds recovered are gem quality,
white, clear and transparent. Significantly larger samples up to
several tons will be required to determine the economics of the
discoveries.

Preliminary microdiamond results have been received from the
laboratories of Kennecott Canada Inc. located in Thunder Bay,
Ontario for samples of the core from drill hole GQ-3. Only
partial intervals were submitted for microdiamond recovery as
portions of the core were used for thin sections, microprobe
analysis and display purposes. In total 5 diamonds were recovered
including one (1) brown (champagne coloured) macrodiamond and one
(1) white microdiamond from a small sample weighing 7.5 kg. This
zone of diamondiferous heterolithic breccia has now been traced
by diamond drilling, stripping and surface mapping along a strike
length of approximately 1.5 km. Only 75 metres along the 1.5 km
zone has been sampled for diamond content. Mechanical stripping
has shown that the zone is up to 20 meters wide in places and
other parallel zones are located in close proximity to the
original discovery zone.

In addition to the numerous outcrop areas to be tested there are
several circular airborne magnetic anomalies that require
detailed prospecting and sampling. A field program will commence
this week to evaluate the many targets identified this year.
Samples collected from these target areas will be submitted for
whole rock analyses, microprobe analyses and caustic fusion
processing for microdiamond recovery.

Keglo Bay, Ungava, Quebec - Diamond Property

Prospecting and sampling completed on the Company's Keglo Bay
joint venture in late August has identified three dike structures
that are similar to diamond bearing dikes found on the Twin
Mining property located 10km to the north. The most significant
structure discovered during this preliminary exploration program
is a dike feature that was traced along a strike length of over
4.5 km. The topographical lineament, which defines the location
of the dike, was noted to vary in width from 1 to 2.5 metres.
Over 150 kilograms of samples have been collected from the
property and will be submitted for whole rock analyses,
microprobe analyses and caustic fusion for microdiamond recovery.
Several other dike-like structures remain unsampled and require
detailed field investigation.

The project is a 50/50 joint venture with Southern Africa
Minerals (SAF.T) and Band-Ore is the operator.

The company is sufficiently financed to carry out the current
programs and is investigating sources of private placement
proposals to finance the ongoing expenditures required to advance
its projects.

Band-Ore is a diverse Canadian exploration Company with two
diamond projects, a platinum/palladium property near Thunder Bay,
Ontario and two gold projects with significant partially defined
resources in northern Ontario. The Company's shares trade on the
Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol "BAN".
