It appears that you and Robert haven't been buying enough to support higher prices. <gg> I have been doing more than my share (of buying) so I hope that Robert's first reason prevails over the other. It is apparent to me that some owners have urgent needs for cash or else they have lost all faith in ARCC's business plan. At these prices there is room for a slower-than-projected revenue ramp and still a handsome return on investment. I do believe that "arbitrage" short-selling based on the convertible has exacerbated the decline but there seems to be more than that at play here. As we will be into tax-selling season before long, (Already are, for institutions) this will add to supply.
