Back test to see if a stock is consistent in reacting violently to the stochastic buy and sell signals. If it has reacted in the past in this manner than it should react in the future in the same manner. askresearch.com askresearch.com TPTH would not be a good stock to trade using indicators because it has not reacted in a consistent manner. askresearch.com askresearch.com There are way too many failed buy and sell signals the past 3 and 5 months to suit me. A 6 month back test is acceptable but a year is better. Look for consistency.
