absolutely. you make two points I've been thinking about. 1) the lack of new refinery capacity. I would add new electric generating capacity as well because 2) as you say the IT age is creating a significant demand for electricity. the reason for the lack of new capacity? environmental concerns and NIMBY (not in my back yard)
