I do all right.

I've seen people sit down with $500 and turn it into 12 grand in about an hour. The idea here is to be able to spot a "bad" deck and walk away or find a "good" deck and stick with it. If you get a good deck, you can nail the house. Unless they suspect you for counting(they assume people know the basic strategy) they will usually just bite their tongue as you increase your bets.

When I get a hot deck, it makes it almost unnecessary and sometimes unwise to count-no need to give them an excuse. Just run with it and hit them as hard(but politely) as you can. That's what they are silently(and politely) thinking about you.

You can give them a little back on the way down from a strong run(or tip the dealer, cocktail waitress, guy who cleans the ash trays, etc. generously) if you want. But that's another subject on ethics or manners.

This is important too. I keep a good record of every session I play. I write objective notes. Sometimes I write little commentaries to myself describing the setting and stuff.

It all really helps. And you should review those notes to find some consistency in your winning environments. That's what you look for as an optimum opportunity.

If you find you do better in the mornings with women dealers one on one. Try to repeat that.

If you do better after a meal(I don't) with a group of people at the table with a younger male dealer enjoying a few drinks. Than wait until that time presents itself.

Don't drink to much though. You'll start playing a little more careless and neglect your stop loss limits which you should always have in place before you pull any money out of your pocket.

Alachaol effects your judgment. You might get lucky, betting carelessly and win big for a short run. But unless you can recognize you got lucky and just leave, you'll give it back. You will.
