In this case, I liked Pat's rebuttal of the Moritz article. But I think Moritz is presenting today's thinking on the street (so to speak).

To be credible, Moritz should have said that was what he was doing.

"Look folks, the word on the street says growth will slow in a year or so. Here's the scoop. . . analyst Scoobydooo from TrustyermoneytoUsInvestments heard carrier revenues-to-spending would accelerate into 2001 but analyst Beboparoo from WechurnforU thinks the failure of an emerging service provider in the UK is a sign all the carriers and service providers on the planet are going to put the brakes on spending. Let's look at the issues. . ."

Then he could launch into both sides of the rumor-du-jour and the reader would actually be enlightened.

But I dream. . . :)
