Ali,

I am happy with whatever CCD or CMOS technology comes down the pike. The higher the resolution, the better.

I don't see one company cornering the market on image sensors and there is a real risk for these components to commoditize. Either way it should be good news for consumers and digital photography shutterbugs, don't you think?

CCD/CMOS technology, microprocessor advances, high resolution LCD screens and flash memory have been the driving forces behind the adoption of digital photography and everything seems to be coming together quite nicely.

The trend will be for higher resolution, larger file sizes and more need for CompactFlash cards.

I can certainly live with that.
