fwiw, today's ft has a pull-out section on global venture cap. haven't read it yet; lead article has softbank venture's heidi rosen (sp?) saying she feels she's landed in some kind of fashion industry dynamic where she's expected to figure out what'll be hot 8 months down the road... re mainland: off the top of your head, what is the approx. size of the "middle class" and what is the annual household income used for that?
