There is a 7 pages of help on explaining money flow from Bloomberg's terminal. I can't type it all in. I can condense some of the content that may answer that and send some of it to you in a PM, if you're interested. Let me know.

PS: In fact you are correct. Money flow analysis DOES confirm price trends, however, divergences are important. I'll post why in my PM.
