Shorting is not for everyone,Don. You have to there to be able to cover or average up at a second's notice. You should never short for the full amount either. If you have $10,000. to short with, you should do your first short with max. $5000. That way you can back yourself up if the stock goes up. This gives you a little more time, and a new trading limit to ponder. Once the stock starts coming off, you should look to cover half at about break-even. This is because it will give you additional fuel if the stock goes for another run...and it probably will. If the stock doesn,t fall pretty quickly after your original short, it means that your timing is off and that the stock is making a possible new base from which to take off again. Anyways...enough said. Good luck!
