Dear Steve Lee: I dont quite understand your question as to how long it took. The set up process is quite simple, they want to know your name, address. Then you click on 7 standard questions absolving them of any blame, clicking I AGREE. After that you are registered and the portfolio windows appear. You can put up to 10 stocks in each window and their are 5 windows thus 50 stocks. I have 20 positions in common stocks, whole thing took me under 10 minutes. JDN
