We are being set up for the classic Buy (short) the rumor and sell the news. It certainly looks that way. I mean how bad could this rumor be for the stock to go down 20%. Are the Pentium Chips exploding at high speeds and users are being killed? (Edit:Insert <gggggg>) Even Bridgstone (Ford) combined have not lost this much in valuation. Could we have a reality check, please? Unfortunately reality checks often are not pleasant. SCI, a contract manufacturer, preannounced this AM, citing a slowdown in its PC business as opposed to its telecom production. SLR, another contract manu., reported good earnings this week but had a significant increase in inventory. As John F. said earlier, where there is smoke, something may well be burning. ted
